John Speed's 1610 Map of Leinster (Enlarged)

A fine map of "The Countie of Leinster with The Citie Dublin described" on an approximate scale of 6 Irish miles to 1 modern inch (Irish miles being approximately 20% longer than English miles). This map is perhaps also more famous for its inset map of "Dubline" on an approximate scale of 200 "pases" (paces) to one inch. This inset map shows Dublin Castle's walls and outside the pale area of Dublin with 69 buildings of note marked with numbers and listed.
Enlarged to 690mm x 540mm for ease of reading each map is beautifully reproduced to be almost indistinguishable from the originals and framed in a fine period Hogarth frame
