This very rare Public Notice was oringally printed by Powell Press Printers ( 22 Parliament Street) and is dated Saturday 6th May, 1916. This reproduction is only very slightly enlarged from the original (380mm x 255mm).

The text states " I, A.E. SANDBACH, Major-General Commanding the troops in Dublin Area, as the Competent Military Authority, do in pursuance of the Powers conferred under the Defence of the Realm (Consolidation) Regulations, 1914, order and require all Premises Licensed for the Sale of Intoxication Liquors for consumption on the Premises and situated within the Area of the A,B,C,D,E Divisions of the Dublin Metropolitan Police District to be kept CLOSED throughout Saturday, May 6th 1916. and thereafter to be kept closed until further order , except between the hours of 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Signed , A.E, SANDBACH, Major-General, Commanding the Troops in Dublin Area, Competent Military Authority."

Each of these 500 Limited Edition reproductions comes with a numbered certificate from The Walton Collection. The reproduction  has been printed on 260 GSM water colour paper  and is mounted behind glass on a 'Pine Green suede' mounting board which is set in a fine handmade Gold Leaf frame.
