Another exceptionally rare Public Police Notice printed by C. & Co. Ltd (Cahill & Co.) is not dated but , given the content, was most likely posted by the authorities on Thursday the 4th of May 1916. This reproduction is slightly enlarged from the original which was 220mm x 350mm.

Amongst other things, it states that "PASSES ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED. PEOPLE ARE REQUESTED NOT TO LOITER ABOUT THE STREETS" .In addition, there is a "Recall to Work" where " Employees and Workers in all occupations particularly those in the Food, Munition and Coal Trades, should return to work TO-DAY" the notice signs off with the statement that " The holders of "off" Licences may keep open from 10a.m. to 5 p.m., during the above period, for the sale of Groceries and Provisions, but not for the sale of drink. BY ORDER".

Each of these 500 Limited Edition reproductions of this rare poster comes with a numbered certificate from The Walton Collection. The reproduction  has been printed on 260 GSM water colour paper  and is mounted behind glass on a 'Pine Green suede' mounting board which is set in a fine handmade Gold Leaf frame.
