1916 Easter week PUBLIC NOTICE. ARMS AND AMMUNITION -Maxwells order to surrender all arms and ammunition..(Limited Edition)

This rare 1916 Easter Week Public Notice printed by Powell Press Printers ( 22 Parliament Street) is dated Tuesday 2nd May, 1916. This reproduction is slightly enlarged from the original (342mm x 216mm).

 The text states "PUBLIC NOTICE. ARMS and AMMUNITION. I, General Sir John Grenfell Maxwell, K.C.B., K.C.M.G., C.V.O., D.S.O., Commanding in Chief of His Majesty's Forces in Ireland, hereby Order that all members of the Irish volunteers Sinn Fein Organisation , or the Citizen Army, shall forthwith surrender all arms , ammunition and explosives, in their possession to the nearest Military Authority or the nearest Police Barracks. Any member of these organizations found in possession of any arms, ammunition, or explosives, after 6th May, 1916, will be severely dealt with. J.G.
