Michael Collins 1922 Portrait by Leo Whelan (Centenary Limited Edition) 3/4 Size

This three-quarter size version of the actual painting captures most of the original painting's image without any scale adjustments. While some parts of the original painting are not in this version it captures the head and shoulders of Collins fully, giving a good sense of his size and physcial presence in addition to his remarkable presence which Whelan has captured so remarkably. The inserts below show the writing by Whelan on the back of the original painting and a close up detail of his face. This is an ideal picture size where wall space for the full size version is not available.

To mark the centenary of his death in 2022 each of these 500 limited edition paintings has been digitally reproduced on high quality canvas which sits within a choice of two superbly finished gold gilt wooden frames with frame dimensions and weight varying accordingly.
