Michael Collins 1922 Portrait by Leo Whelan (Centenary Limited Edition) 1/2 Size

This half-size version of Collins head and face is beautifully framed without any scale adjustment allowing the viewer to see the depth of Collins expression and personality. It is the most important area of the painting and a great credit to Leo Whelan's sublime work as a master portrait artist . Whelan has clearly captured Collin's deep and enormous personality which emanates from the painting and makes a fine companion in any room. The inserts below show the writing by Whelan on the back of the original painting and a close up detail of his face. This smaller size, which is extremely attractive,  will be better suited where wall space is limited.
