Irish Independent 5th May 1916 (6-page edition) Page 2 - Contains further editorial condemning the management of the country by Mr Birrell. Interestingly the editorial is equally critical of Mr Edward Carson and the governments tolerance of the Larne gun running, without which they say the Howth Gun running would not have happened.

The editorial basically suggests that Edward Carson encouraged open armed rebellion in the North which threatened to create a civil war. It is also critical of his offer to the government of the UVF's services which it said if the government accepted would " have again shamelessly truckled to an armed faction.."

This remarkable narrative captures all the detail of the original on 210 gsm Satin Art paper and is set on a mottled green suede background, behind glass, in an antique style Gold Leaf frame.
