County Sligo- Townland Survey of the County of Sligo (1837) - A stunning Ordnance Survey Map of County Sligo first published in 1837, on a globally unprecedented scale of six inches to one mile, stretches from the Lough Arrow in the south to Mullaghmore at its most northern tip. Adjoining Leitrim, Roscommon and Mayo with its lands border where from Killala Bay on the border with Mayo a beautiful coastline wends it way around Sligo Bay and North to Mullaghmore. There is remarkable detail from within all of the parishes in the areas of Carbury, Tirerrill , Lyny , Corran, Tireragh, and Coolavin with beautiful detail in an around the Lough's of Gill, Arrow and Gara . The tidal bays and strands of Sligo Bay including Drumcliffe Bay and Ballysadare Bay are particularly well illustrated.

This extraordinarily small county map is made up of 47 numbered grid boxes which are indexed in a table on the map , any one or more of which can reproduced in their original full size or can be customised into an smaller framed extract from the map as a special order in consultation with our customisation team. This map is an absolute must have or gift for anyone from County Sligo or with an interest in Sligo's history.

Beautifully reproduced on high quality art paper in its original size and mounted in a 790mm x1100mm Hogarth 18th Century style frame behind plexiglass (or glass if requested following placement of order).
