County Kerry- Killarney - Upper Lake c.1840

The Upper Lake (An Loch Uachtarach) is captured with stunning views overlooking .McCarthy's Island, Eagle Island, Ronayne's Island, Juniper Island, Robinson's Island, Arbutus Island, and the MacGillcuddy's Reeks mountain range behind them. The casual detail (see close-up detail inset below) of this remarkable scene is understated but thoroughly encapsulated within the detail of Bartletts drawing.

Please note the Pine Green mount board is not as quite dark as it appears in the frame image and the colour of the final print is closer to the detail sample from the picture inset below.
